Improving Self-Image

Overview

A positive self-image is not a luxury; it is a necessity and every individual’s birthright. We did not have control over the negative events and the difficult people we had to face, but we do have control over how we deal with negative experiences. One’s past does not determine one’s future and it is possible to survive and thrive after any form of personal trauma. Most people have emotional baggage, but it is the people who deal with their baggage, heal and take their power back, who succeed in life.

According to research findings, a person’s level of self- esteem is a far better predictor of personal and career success, than a person’s IQ. It is possible to reprogram one’s subconscious mind and to override negative programming. People feel empowered and liberated once they have forgiven their perpetrators and healed their emotional scars. Only then can they live a meaningful, productive and fulfilled life.

Who Should Attend?

If you suffer from any of the following tendencies you can consider attending this Module:

  • Inability to take risks and make decisions.
  • Self-doubt and unnecessary stress.
  • Fear of failure and/or making a mistake.
  • Feelings of unworthiness/not being good enough/inadequacy.
  • Over-dependence on the approval of others.
  • Fear of rejection or abandonment.
  • Low productivity due to depression.
  • Difficulty to establish healthy and meaningful relationships.

Negative beliefs and emotions impact on a person’s well- being, health, performance and ability to actualise one’s potential.

Specific Outcomes

The aim of this Module is to assist learners to determine their level of self-esteem and to understand the factors that have led to low self-esteem. It is essential that they identify the events, experiences and people who have had an adverse effect on their self-esteem. Due to negative programming, irrational and false beliefs have been programmed into their subconscious minds, which have to be identified and reprogrammed. Harbouring grudges and ill-feelings towards others, who have wronged them, causes negative chemical reactions in their bodies, which can lead to poor health and eventually disease. The Module enables them to deal with emotional baggage and to heal on an emotional level.

On completion delegates should be able to:

  • Understand how their self-esteem has been affected by other people/events.
  • Understand why they develop poor self-esteem.
  • Identify their coping skills or masks and why they wear these masks.
  • Cope constructively with failures and setbacks.
  • Engage in positive self-talk.
  • Keep themselves motivated at all times.
  • Forgive and let go of grudges and ill-feelings.
  • Use visualisations skills to expand their comfort zones and to attain objectives.
  • Identify forgotten and hidden talents.
  • Access their subconscious minds to reprogram themselves.
  • Enhance their self-worth by applying certain strategies.
  • Experience less stress and be more productive.
  • Enjoy greater quality of life.
