Overview

Stress and productivity are closely related. High levels of stress lead to a decrease in productivity and poor quality of life. More or less 75% of all illnesses is regarded as psychosomatic and can be related to stress as the underlying cause. Research indicates that more than a third of South Africans experience excessive stress.

Stress manifests on a physical, emotional and mental level and should be managed on all those levels. Stress weakens our immune systems and makes us more prone to colds, flu and other illnesses. By managing your stress constructively, one can ensure emotional stability, enhanced quality of life, focused energy, increased drive, optimum health and productivity. Stress management techniques equip us to endure pressure and stress more effectively.

Who Should Attend?

Any employee who suffers from stress related symptoms such as headaches, muscle aches and pains, sleep disturbances, poor digestion, impaired concentration, loss of motivation and fatigue amongst many other symptoms. Employees who feel that they cannot cope with the increased pressure within the work environment and who battle to maintain the balance between work pressure and family demands, will benefit. If Stress Management has been indicated as a primary training need on completion of Module 1: Self-Awareness.
